We cultivate vineyards in the best locations of Oestrich, Mittelheim, Winkel and Hallgarten. The combined size of our vineyards is 5,3 ha (13,1 acres), and they are planted with Riesling (94 %), Pinot noir (3,8 %), Dakapo and Gelber Orleans grape varieties.
We are passionate about winemaking, and this is reflected in the high quality of our wine. Our grapes and wines are handled with care in order to avoid bitters and to bring out their natural flavour during the fermentation process. Our wine cellar is located in an ancient vault where the temperature is particularly suitable for producing and storing wine. This cellar is lined with the oak wine barrels and stainless steel vats we use to ferment our wine. More recently we have the use of a new cooling system that enables us to better conserve and stabilise flavours in the wine during fermentation. Our wines develop their clear and typical taste 10 – 14 months after harvest, but they can be consumed and enjoyed earlier. Our goal is to produce wines that are distinctive and suitable for any occasion; uncomplicated wines for everyday use, quality wines that can be enjoyed on their own or with spicy meals and top-class wines for special occasions. Of course, we also make Sekt (sparkling wine) so that you can toast your friends, family and colleagues in style.
